The night cream is made up of three ingredients- Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel, and Grapeseed Oil. Shea Butter is one of the main ingredients because it is full of vitamins A and E, which tone and moisturize the skin. It also has been known to reduce blemishes and inflammation. Another great product for treating dry skin is Aloe Vera Gel. There’s a reason we know it as the go-to for summer sunburns- it has amazing soothing properties and absorbs instantly into the skin. Grapeseed Oil is the last ingredient in this DIY and pairs well with the Shea Butter in nourishing the skin. Grapeseed Oil also boasts age-defying benefits since it is rich in vitamin E. How to Make the Night Cream:

  • The first step is to melt the Shea Butter using a double boiler. Once it is melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool to room temperature or until its color turns opaque.
  • For the second step, just whisk in the Aloe Vera gel and Grapeseed Oil into the Shea Butter until they are all combined. You can also use an electric mixer to do this. When the ingredients appear creamy, pour the mixture into a small jar with a lid.

All it takes is these two simple steps to create this ultra-hydrating night cream. Apply the cream nightly before bed to moisturize and rejuvenate skin while you sleep, and wake up glowing by morning.  If your skin is very dry, feel free to use this as your daily am/pm moisturizer too to keep dryness at bay.
