Made of 5 natural ingredients, African Black Soap has plenty of benefits and uses beyond traditional soap. Traditionally used by women in West Africa, African Black Soap is composed of several ingredients, each bringing its set of benefits to the soap. Sky Organics African Black Soap is made of Coconut Oil, Palm & Kernel Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Plantain Skin Ash.

Face and Body Wash:

African Black Soap can be used as a body & face wash: we recommend using a washcloth whether you are using the liquid or the bar version of the soap. Because the soap deeply cleanses the skin, it is very typical for the skin to appear “worse” for the first two weeks of treatment. Thereafter, significant improvements such as softer skin, less acne, and a more even skin tone should be noticeable.

Our African Black Soap has a slightly higher pH than traditional soap. This means that if your skin is not used to it, you may feel a tingle sensation in the beginning. It is important you do not overdo it. Every skin is different, and for you to make the best use of the soap, it is important you find your own balance of usage. It could be as often as daily, or as little as twice a week.

Because, the skin on the back is thicker, overusing it should not be a problem. Hence if you experience back acne, African Black Soap is a great ally that can considerably help getting rid of it.

Hands Soap:

You can use both the liquid and the bar version as hands soap. It will keep your hands moisturized and soft.

Shaving Cream:

Both versions (bar & liquid) of the African Black Soap foam particularly well. Making them ideal to use as shaving creams. Lather on damp shaving area to moisten skin and avoid razor bumps.

Hair & Scalp:

It is more convenient to use the Liquid African Black Soap when using it for the hair or the scalp. If you are looking to moisturize and keep your scalp healthy, African Black Soap is definitely ideal. Apply and massage your scalp for a few minutes. As a shampoo, we recommend you wash and rinse right away.
